Today, the NBA announced that the Cleveland Cavaliers have been fined $250,000 for violating the league’s player participation policy. The league’s investigation revealed that under the policy, top player Darius Garland was allowed to participate in one of the team’s two games, on November 23 against the Los Angeles Clippers and on November 24 against the Toronto Raptors. It appears the NBA is attempting to crack down on load management following its action against the Cavaliers. In this case, it concerns the Cavaliers’ Darius Garland, who is still recovering from offseason treatment for his toe injury. Cleveland did not make Darius Garland available for the nationally televised game, although he did play in a non-televised game.

The NBA fined Cleveland a whopping $250,000 because the team played Darius Garland, who is recovering from an injury.

On November 23 and 24, the Cleveland Cavaliers faced back-to-back tough challenges, first at home on Sunday against the stumbling Clippers and then on the road on Monday against the Toronto Raptors and their high-pressure defense. The Cavaliers chose to start Darius Garland in a game against the Clippers that they were most likely to win, and he was rested on Monday night in Toronto. The NBA has fined the Cleveland Cavaliers $250,000 “for violating the player participation policy,” senior NBA insider Shams Charania revealed Thursday. Garland’s poor form and risky play choices have cost the Cavaliers dearly

Among their problems, the Cavaliers received a major penalty. Cavaliers’ All-Star guard, Darius Garland, is having a tough year since returning from injury. Garland has not played a large number of games this season due to a toe problem, but when he has played, he has not lived up to expectations. In eight games, he has averaged 13.6 points, 6.5 assists and 2.8 rebounds while shooting 34.7% and 34% from three-point range. On Thursday, the NBA fined the Cavaliers $250,000 for a decision involving Garland. On November 23, the Cavaliers defeated the Los Angeles Clippers 120–105, but Garland played poorly. He finished the night with eight points, eight assists and one rebound while shooting 30%.Garland returned in early November, but has yet to regain full fitness. This resulted in Cleveland not allowing the former All-Star to attend every game, especially games played on consecutive days. The Cavaliers reportedly chose the wrong game to have Garland sit out and now they have to suffer the consequences.ALSO READ: Is Sam Merrill playing tonight? Hi, I’m Santosh Jamadar—welcome to my little space online! I’ve always believed that knowledge becomes powerful when it’s shared, and that’s why teaching has been such an important part of my journey. Guiding others, simplifying complex ideas, and seeing people grow through learning is something that inspires me every day. Alongside teaching, I have a strong passion for design and technology. I enjoy exploring how creative design can blend with modern tech to create solutions that are not only functional but also meaningful. Whether it’s introducing new learning methods, working on innovative projects, or experimenting with design tools, I love finding ways to make education and technology more engaging and impactful. When I’m not teaching or working on tech-driven ideas, you’ll probably find me sketching new concepts, learning about the latest design trends, or exploring ways to merge creativity with practicality. My goal is simple: to inspire through teaching, innovate through design, and embrace the possibilities that technology brings to our everyday lives.
