erling holland Has broken Alan Shearer’s record of first goal in the Premier League and may score another goal in the future.
Haaland opened the scoring in Manchester City’s 5-3 win at Fulham on Tuesday and scored his 100th Premier League goal.
The Norway striker has scored 100 goals in 111 matches and is the fastest player to do so, overtaking Shearer who did it in 124 games.
Newcastle and England legend Shearer holds the record for all-time Premier League goals (260), which the 25-year-old has tipped for Haaland.
“I’m aware of it,” he told Sky Sports at Craven Cottage. “But I don’t think too much about it…”
Haaland is the fastest player to score 50 and 100 goals in the Premier League. But he knows the pressure to score will continue.
Asked if he expected to score in every game, Haaland replied: “I don’t want to mince words, but when you’re a striker for Man City you have to produce great numbers.
“This is my job. If I don’t do it then people should criticize me. That’s what people generally do. At the end of the day, I’m supposed to do the job.”
Haaland had not scored in two Premier League games before claiming the record at Fulham on Tuesday.
He said of the record of 100 goals: “I was aware of it. That’s what I tried to do, I try to help the team by scoring goals.”

“Every game is different, and you can’t even think about the games [before]We lost to Newcastle and Bayer Leverkusen but now we have won two matches in a row,
“It’s a tough schedule, there are a lot of games over the next month.”
Haaland is the top scorer in the Premier League this season with 15 goals.
